BCCI Awards $6.7 Million Bonus to Indian Team for Champions Trophy Victory

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has awarded the national cricket team a cash bonus of ₹58 crore (approximately $6.72 million) following their Champions Trophy victory on March 9, 2025. This bonus is three times the tournament’s winner’s purse of $2.24 million. Each player will receive ₹3 crore, with additional allocations for coaching staff, support personnel, and selection committee members. BCCI President Roger Binny praised the team’s dedication and excellence, while Secretary Devajit Saikia highlighted India’s dominance in limited-overs cricket.
