After the vibrant celebrations of Basant in Lahore, the festival is now set to reach Quetta, as the Balochistan capital prepares to host a three-day Basant festival from February 13 to 15 (Friday to Sunday). The official announcement has sparked excitement among residents, with a wave of enthusiasm sweeping across the city.
Preparations are in full swing, and markets are bustling with activity. Shops are stocked with colorful kites, strings, yellow outfits, and other traditional Basant items. Major commercial areas including Gard Singh Road, Prince Road, Alamdar Road, Kasi Road, Sariab Road, Jaan Muhammad Road, Sabzal Road, Nawa Killi, Brewery Road, Jail Road, Liaquat Bazaar, and surrounding neighborhoods are witnessing heavy footfall as citizens shop for newly designed kites and festival accessories.
