Azma Bokhari Defends Punjab Govt’s 60-Page Supplement, Dismisses Criticism as PTI Propaganda

Jarida Report

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has defended the provincial government’s 60-page supplement, published on February 26, 2025, which highlights its first-year performance under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Critics, including former PPP senator Farhatullah Babar, labeled the publication a “monstrosity at the public expense,” noting that the first 30 pages contained 170 photographs of Maryam Nawaz. Bokhari dismissed these criticisms as “PTI propaganda,” emphasizing that the supplement aimed to inform the public about government initiatives, such as health and Kisaan cards, and counter misinformation. She contrasted this with the previous PTI administration’s lack of substantial projects, citing an “empty page” supplement during their tenure. Bokhari also refuted claims that the current government was taking credit for prior initiatives, asserting that programs like the municipal system and hospital dialysis services predated the PTI era.
