Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari on Thursday criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government for failing to initiate the distribution of its Ramazan aid package, despite half of the holy month passing. She emphasized that the Punjab government has already transferred financial assistance to three million people under the Ramadan Nigahban Program, and aims to reach 4 million in the coming days.
She highlighted the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s iftar initiatives, providing meals to thousands of people across Punjab daily. She also pointed out that the KP government has not yet begun distributing its Ramadan aid package and has only requested lists from National and Provincial Assembly members. The minister added that officials like Muzamil Aslam and Sohail Afridi are unaware of the status of the aid distribution, suggesting a lack of coordination in KP.
