Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb departed for the United States on Saturday to attend the 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, scheduled for April 21–26. During his visit, he will engage with senior officials from the IMF, World Bank, global credit rating agencies, and commercial and investment banks. Aurangzeb is also set to meet with counterparts from China, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, as well as senior officials from the US State and Treasury Departments. Additionally, he will participate in the 13th Ministerial Meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action. Key topics at the meetings are expected to include trade tensions, financial market volatility, and the proposed 29% tariff imposed by the Trump administration on Pakistani goods
