Alcaraz says rivalry with Sinner is “a class apart” after Wimbledon defeat

Jarida Report

After losing the Wimbledon 2025 final to Italy’s Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz praised their growing rivalry, calling it “a class apart” in men’s tennis. Sinner beat Alcaraz in four sets to claim his first Wimbledon title, but the Spanish star said he was proud of how far both players had come.

Alcaraz noted that their battles are pushing each other to new heights and helping elevate the sport in a post–Big Three era. “Our level is really high,” he said. “This kind of rivalry is great for tennis.” The two have now shared the last eight Grand Slam titles, cementing their status as the sport’s new leading duo.
