Jaffar Express Resumes Operations Today, Says Railways Minister

Jarida Report

Pakistan Railways has announced the resumption of the Jaffar Express service starting today, following its suspension due to a terrorist attack last week. The Peshawar-bound train, carrying 440 passengers, was ambushed by Balochistan Liberation Army militants, leading to a two-day hostage situation that concluded with the rescue of all passengers. In response, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi stated that drone surveillance will be implemented for train operations in Balochistan. Additionally, CCTV cameras are being installed at railway stations and other sensitive locations nationwide to enhance security.
