China, Pakistan Committed to Completing KKH and ML-1 Projects: Chinese Consul General

Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong emphasized the mutual commitment of China and Pakistan to complete key infrastructure projects, notably the Karakoram Highway (KKH) and the Main Line-1 (ML-1) railway. These initiatives are integral to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), often referred to as Pakistan’s economic “lifeline.” Yang also highlighted the recent completion of Gwadar’s new international airport, which is expected to enhance trade via the Gwadar Port. Additionally, he noted China’s projected GDP growth of around 5% and its dedication to high-quality development and global cooperation.
