8 Dead, 2 Injured as Van Plunges into Drain in Kasur

On Friday, a van carrying 10 wedding attendees veered into a drain near Raiwind, Kasur, resulting in eight fatalities and two injuries. Rescue 1122 transported the injured to Baba Bulleh Shah Hospital for treatment. Police have arrested the driver, attributing the accident to his drowsiness and overspeeding; an FIR has been filed against him. In a separate incident in Multan, a loaded trailer overturned onto a house, killing a 15-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and their 40-year-old father. The driver fled the scene, and authorities are currently searching for him.
