A$AP Rocky Acquitted in Hollywood Assault Trial

Rapper A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, was acquitted of two felony assault charges in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday. The charges stemmed from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood, where he was accused of shooting at former friend Terell Ephron, known as A$AP Relli, grazing his hand. Mayers maintained he had only a prop gun during the confrontation. Following the not guilty verdict, he embraced supporters in relief. Defense attorney Joe Tacopina described the allegations as an extortion attempt.
