Zelensky Urges Creation of European Army to Counter Russia and Gain U.S. Respect

Jarida Report

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for the creation of a European army to counter Russian aggression and reduce Europes reliance on U.S. military support. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky argued that such a force would not only help deter Russia but also earn greater respect from the United States. His proposal comes amid concerns about declining U.S. support for Ukraine, especially with the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the presidency. European leaders have been discussing ways to strengthen their defense capabilities, but the idea of a unified European army remains controversial.
