Explosion Near Bus on Khuzdar-Rawalpindi Route Kills One, Injures Seven

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, an explosion occurred near a passenger bus traveling from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi on the M-8 Highway, approximately 25 kilometers from Khuzdar City. The blast resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to seven others, including the bus conductor, who is reported to be in critical condition. The injured were promptly transported to the Khuzdar Trauma Centre for medical attention. Preliminary investigations indicate that an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted in an Alto vehicle parked adjacent to the road. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
