Pakistan all-rounder Arafat Minhas has been shortlisted for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for October 2026 following his outstanding performances in Pakistan’s victorious home ODI tri-series campaign.
Minhas, who made his One Day International debut against Australia earlier this year, impressed with both bat and ball throughout the tournament. He claimed nine wickets and accumulated 149 runs across five innings at an average of 29.80.
One of his most remarkable performances came against England, when he scored a valuable 59 runs before taking six wickets for 40 runs. His bowling figures were the second-best recorded by a Pakistani bowler in an ODI on home soil.
The young all-rounder also played a decisive role in the tournament final against Sri Lanka, scoring a blistering 61 off just 31 deliveries.
His aggressive innings helped Pakistan successfully chase a challenging target of 326 runs and lift the tri-series trophy.
Minhas’s consistent contributions in both departments earned him the Player of the Series award, further highlighting his emergence as a promising talent in Pakistan cricket.
His nomination for the ICC’s monthly honour now places him in contention for international recognition following a memorable October campaign.
