Israeli Forces and Occupiers Carried Out Over 3,100 Attacks in West Bank During October, Palestinian Report Says

Jarida Report

Israeli forces and occupiers carried out 3,133 attacks against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank in October, marking a 52.8% increase compared with September, according to a Palestinian government report released on Monday.

The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said Israeli military forces were responsible for 1,764 incidents, while Israeli occupiers carried out another 1,369 attacks.

According to the commission’s monthly report, attacks by Israeli occupiers increased by 111.6% from September, when 647 such incidents were recorded.

The reported violations included shootings, physical assaults against Palestinian residents, destruction of agricultural land, burning of trees and vehicles, and seizure of private property.

The commission also documented road closures and restrictions preventing Palestinians from reaching their agricultural land, further disrupting livelihoods and daily activities across the occupied territory.

The findings come amid an escalation in Israeli military operations and occupier violence in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, since Israel launched its military offensive in Gaza in October 2023.

During this period, Palestinian communities have faced intensified military raids, restrictions on movement, land confiscations, displacement and continued expansion of illegal Israeli settlements and outposts.

The commission’s figures highlight the growing scale of violence and pressure on Palestinian communities, particularly in rural areas where residents depend heavily on agriculture.

In July 2024, the International Court of Justice issued a landmark advisory opinion declaring Israel’s continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territory unlawful.

The court called for an end to Israel’s unlawful presence and the evacuation of Israeli occupiers from the occupied Palestinian territory, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The latest report adds to mounting concerns over the deteriorating security and humanitarian situation in the West Bank, where Palestinian residents continue to face violence, displacement and restrictions on access to their land.
