SCOTLAND: Police Scotland has launched preliminary inquiries into the activities of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell during their visits to Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire.
According to a report by the Daily Express, the inquiries concern allegations that women were trafficked to the royal residence.
Epstein, who died in 2019, and Maxwell, who was jailed in 2022 for sex trafficking, are understood to have visited Balmoral alongside Mountbatten-Windsor.
Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries were underway but described them as being at a “very early stage”. The force said it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.
