Gwadar: 10 Suspected Militants, Including Woman, Killed in Security Operation, Says ISPR

Jarida Report

GWADAR: Security forces killed 10 suspected militants, including a female operative, while foiling an alleged terrorist plot in Gwadar, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

According to the military’s media wing, the militants attempted to carry out attacks near the Gabd Border Crossing and in Gwadar city. Security forces launched clearance operations in and around the city to protect residents and secure the affected areas.

The ISPR said one civilian was killed during the incidents, while several vehicles were damaged. No casualties were reported among security personnel, and the operations were completed with the situation brought under control, it added.

The statement alleged that the militants were backed by India and operated under the group the military refers to as “Fitna al Hindustan.” It said the attacks were intended to undermine state authority, disrupt development in Balochistan and harm local residents.

The ISPR also alleged that a Baloch woman had been coerced into participating in the attack, describing the use of women in such operations as an exploitation of local communities and traditions.

The military said counterterrorism operations under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, would continue. It added that security forces and law enforcement agencies remained committed to combating what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism across the country.
