ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated a Daanish School in Islamabad, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering talented youth by providing equal access to quality education.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister said the success stories of Daanish School graduates were inspiring and demonstrated the importance of educational opportunities for underprivileged students.
He highlighted that financial constraints remained a major obstacle for millions of talented boys and girls across the country who possessed the ability, ambition and potential to contribute to Pakistan’s development.
Recalling the vision behind the establishment of the Daanish Schools network in 2010, Shehbaz Sharif said the initiative was designed to provide underprivileged students from all parts of the country, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with quality education comparable to that offered by elite institutions.
The prime minister stressed that every child deserved equal educational opportunities, regardless of family wealth or social status, including children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those who had lost both parents.
“If these children are left to waste their time in the muddy streets of their villages and cities, then this is not the Pakistan of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This is certainly not his Pakistan,” he remarked.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasised that access to quality education was a right for all talented children, irrespective of their socioeconomic circumstances.
