KARACHI: Police have identified a man whose body was found inside a bag in Karachi’s Nazimabad area and arrested a suspect in connection with the murder, officials said on Sunday.
Police identified the deceased as Adnan and the arrested suspect as Nisar, who was traced with the help of CCTV footage.
According to police, Nisar belongs to Badin district and worked as a gardener at a nursery near KDA Chowrangi. The deceased and the suspect were employed at the same nursery and had reportedly been involved in a personal dispute for some time.
Police said Adnan had allegedly tied Nisar with a rope and subjected him to physical torture two days before the incident.
Investigators alleged that Nisar killed Adnan with hammer blows in retaliation for the earlier incident, placed his body in a bag and abandoned it.
Police said the suspect had been arrested as the investigation into the case continued.
