Taiz, Yemen: Yemeni warplanes struck dozens of trucks allegedly transporting weapons, ammunition and missiles for the Houthis in the southwestern province of Taiz on Saturday, according to the Yemeni army.
The Taiz Military Axis said the heavy transport vehicles were travelling from the coastal city of Mokha towards the Houthi-held capital, Sanaa, when they were targeted.
“Warplanes targeted dozens of Houthi heavy transport trucks loaded with weapons, ammunition, missiles and military equipment on 60th Street north of Taiz,” the military said in a statement posted on Facebook.
The army did not disclose whether the strikes caused any casualties or provide details about the extent of damage to the convoy.
There was no immediate response from the Houthis to the Yemeni military’s account of the strikes.
