DNA Testing of Suspects Completed in Hina Javed Murder Investigation

Jarida Report

DNA testing of key suspects in the Hina Javed murder case has been completed at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency in Lahore as police continue their investigation into her death.

Samples were collected from Hina’s husband Faisal Asghar, her father-in-law and domestic worker Zeeshan, with the testing conducted in the presence of her brother, Fahad Javed.

According to investigators, Zeeshan confessed during questioning to killing Hina, allegedly claiming that Faisal had promised him Rs100,000 to carry out the murder. Faisal and his father have denied involvement in the killing.

The Rawalpindi police team has returned from Lahore following completion of the DNA testing process.

Earlier, Hina’s post-mortem examination revealed a fractured neck bone and injuries to her ribs and hip, while blood was also detected around her heart. The examination was conducted by Dr Maria Khalid approximately 12 hours after Hina’s death.

The initial post-mortem findings did not conclusively establish the cause of death, and samples were sent for further forensic analysis to help determine how she died.

A murder case was registered at Civil Lines Police Station on the complaint of Hina’s brother, Fahad Javed.

Faisal and Zeeshan have been arrested and were granted to police on a three-day physical remand, while investigators await further forensic findings as the probe continues.
