Post-Mortem Reveals Multiple Injuries in Hina Javed Murder Case

Jarida Report

The post-mortem examination of Hina Javed, who was found dead at her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area, has revealed injuries to several parts of her body, including a fractured neck bone.

According to the report, injury marks were also found on Hina’s ribs and hip bone, while blood was detected in the pericardium, the sac surrounding the heart, and around the heart itself.

Hina’s body was discovered in a bathroom at her residence within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station. Police had initially informed doctors that she had allegedly been hanged by her husband.

Her husband, Faisal Asghar, and his employee Zeeshan were subsequently arrested on suspicion of involvement in her murder. Police said Hina had been married to Faisal for around nine months.

The post-mortem was conducted by Dr Maria Khalid approximately 12 hours after Hina’s death. DNA and other samples were collected and sent for laboratory and forensic examination.

Despite the injuries identified during the examination, the report said the precise cause of death could not initially be established, with further forensic results awaited.

The findings emerged a day after a Rawalpindi court granted police a three-day physical remand of the two suspects.

During the hearing, the investigation officer told the court that police had recovered a rope and wire allegedly connected to the killing.

Police have also included Faisal Asghar’s father in the investigation and recorded his statement as the probe into Hina Javed’s death continues.
