Manchester City Agree £86m Deal for Lille Teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi

Jarida Report

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign 18-year-old Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal worth up to £86 million ($116 million), according to British media reports.

City are reportedly set to pay an initial £81.3 million, with a further £4.3 million potentially due in add-ons. Bouaddi is expected to undergo a medical before completing the move.

If finalised, the transfer would make Bouaddi the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history, surpassing the £58.9 million deal that took Leny Yoro from Lille to Manchester United in 2024.

Primarily a defensive midfielder, Bouaddi made 30 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille last season, helping the club finish third and secure Champions League qualification.

The teenager made his senior debut for Morocco in May before representing the Atlas Lions at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He started five of Morocco’s six matches as they progressed to the quarterfinals.

City have been reshaping their midfield following the departures of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders.

Bouaddi would become their second major midfield acquisition of the summer after Elliot Anderson joined from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth up to £116 million.
