Basant Lahore 2027 Announced for March 12-14

Jarida Report

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially announced the dates for Basant Lahore 2027, with the three-day festival scheduled to take place from March 12 to 14.

The chief minister announced the dates on her X account following what she described as the successful celebration of Basant 2026.

According to Maryam, Lahore will once again be transformed by colour, culture, music and festivities, with the city’s traditional hospitality forming an important part of the celebrations.

The three-day festival is expected to attract Lahore residents, visitors and kite-flying enthusiasts, as the provincial capital prepares for another major celebration of the historic spring festival.

Maryam particularly encouraged young people from Punjab and across Pakistan to participate, urging them to come together, make lasting memories and contribute their energy to the festivities.

She also extended an invitation to overseas Pakistanis and international visitors, encouraging them to plan trips to Lahore to experience the city’s culture, colours and hospitality during Basant.

Concluding her invitation, the chief minister said: “I will be waiting. Lahore will be waiting. Pakistan will be waiting for you.”

The announcement gives visitors nearly seven months to make arrangements for the festival, which will run from Friday, March 12, through Sunday, March 14, 2027.
