A senior police surgeon has questioned the post-mortem findings in the murder case of Mir Raza Ali, saying the medical report does not appear to match photographs of the victim’s body, ARY News reported.
Speaking to the broadcaster, Police Surgeon Dr Samia said there were apparent inconsistencies between the post-mortem report and the available images.
“The photographs tell one story, while the post-mortem report says something else,” she said.
According to Dr Samia, several parts of the body appeared swollen and discoloured in the photographs, indicating those areas required closer examination to determine whether they contained injuries.
She also questioned the reported trajectory of the bullet, saying the available evidence raised several unanswered questions.
Dr Samia further observed that decomposition appeared more advanced on the face and upper body, adding that these areas required a more detailed examination to establish the nature of any injuries and their possible role in the victim’s death.
Her remarks come as investigators continue to analyse forensic evidence, digital data and CCTV footage in the high-profile case.
Police have not officially responded to Dr Samia’s observations, and the investigation remains ongoing.
