The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar on Tuesday announced the results of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations.
According to the board, 97,950 students appeared in the Class 9 examinations. Of these, 39,103 passed, while 57,847 were promoted to Class 10, resulting in an overall pass and promotion rate of 99%.
For the Class 10 examinations, 95,496 students appeared, with 66,988 successfully passing. A total of 27,788 students failed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 70.2%.
The announcement follows the recent declaration of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) Matric Science Group results, which recorded an overall pass rate of 80.87%.
In Karachi, Muhammad Azlan Syed secured first position with 1,040 marks, followed by Reja Kamran with 1,034 marks, while Ayesha Adnan claimed third position with 1,033 marks.
The BSEK also reported a notable rise in top-performing students, with 35,529 candidates achieving an A-1 grade, compared with 30,154 last year.
