Three sons of Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attended funeral prayers in Tehran on Sunday, while Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded his father as supreme leader, did not appear at the ceremony.
State television showed Mostafa, Meysam and Masoud Khamenei praying beside the coffins of their father and four other family members at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla, a major religious complex in the Iranian capital.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several members of his family were killed in an airstrike during the conflict that began when the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran on February 28.
