China has successfully launched a new group of satellites into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi province, state media reported on Sunday.
The satellites were launched aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket on Saturday and successfully entered their designated orbit, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The newly launched satellites will become part of the Spacesail Constellation, China’s commercial low-Earth orbit satellite network.
The mission marked the 655th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series.
