US President Donald Trump has said Washington could order strikes on Iran’s power plants and bridges as tensions between the two countries continue to rise.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Trump said Tehran was taking too long to reach an agreement and still had an opportunity to sign a deal “for its own survival.”
He claimed the United States carried out overnight strikes targeting Iranian radar systems and defensive assets, adding that Iran had attempted to rebuild its defence capabilities during a ceasefire period.
The US president also said Iran’s air defence systems failed to stop American attacks overnight and suggested that strikes on the country’s power plants and bridges remained under consideration.
