Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his distinguished services to cricket.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Afridi said: “Receiving the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz from Pakistan is an honour for me. This is not just Shahid Afridi’s honour but the pride of the entire Pakistani nation. It is your love, prayers and support that have brought me this far. This award is also in the name of those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland.”
