Honda Car Sales To End In South Korea By End Of 2026, Will Continue Motorcycle Business

Jarida Report

Japanese automaker Honda Motor said Thursday it will discontinue automobile sales operations in South Korea by the end of 2026, while continuing its motorcycle business and after-sales support in the country.

In a statement, Honda said it will wind down the automobile sales operations of Honda Korea, its Seoul-based subsidiary, as part of efforts to adapt to changes in both global and South Korean automotive markets. The company said the decision follows a strategic review aimed at concentrating corporate resources to strengthen its mid- to long-term competitiveness.

Honda added it will continue to provide after-sales services for existing vehicle owners, including maintenance, parts supply and warranty support.
