Naseem Shah Fined Rs.20m By PCB For Contract Violation Through Social Media Post

Jarida Report

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday imposed a fine of Rs20 million on fast bowler Naseem Shah for breaching various clauses of his central contract through a social media post. In a statement issued today, the board said that it had issued a show-cause notice on March 27 outlining the violations and sought a response from Shah.

“A personal hearing was then held by a three-member disciplinary committee after Shah’s reply had been received and reviewed,” the statement read.

The PCB noted that, following an unconditional apology tendered by Shah, he was found to have breached several clauses of his central contract, leading to the imposition of a fine of Rs20 million.
