Thousands of women officers and community members rode bikes in the Mission Shakti 5 bike rally in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. This is a new initiative for women’s safety and empowerment across the state. The rally hold 18,000 people, including police officers and students. They rode through districts, holding signs and shouting slogans about women right to safety and respect.
The campaign, which coincided with the upcoming Navratri festival, also opened new Mission Shakti Kendras at police stations for safety of women.
