June Sees Minor Dip in Militant Attacks in Pakistan, Think Tank Reports

According to the Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), militant attacks in June slightly decreased after rising in May. June recorded fewer incidents than May’s 85 attacks, which resulted in 113 fatalities and 182 injuries  . This marginal decline in June contrasts with the preceding month’s modest escalation amid India tensions. Security forces in May also intensified operations, killing 59 militants and arresting 52 suspects  . Despite the dip, KP and Balochistan remained topline hotspots for violence.
