Lahore Airport to Temporarily Close for Bird Strike Prevention

Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport will undergo a scheduled closure from July 11 to August 8 to reduce bird strike risks during Eidul Azha and the monsoon season. The Civil Aviation Authority announced that flight operations will be suspended daily from 5am to 8am to allow cleaning of animal waste and organic debris that attract birds. Airlines have been informed to adjust schedules accordingly. The measure aims to enhance aviation safety during a period of increased bird activity.
