Father of Mustafa Amir Murder Suspect Granted Bail in Illicit Weapon Case

Jarida Report

On June 3, 2025, a Karachi sessions court granted post-arrest bail to Kamran Asghar Qureshi, father of Armaghan—the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case—in connection with the alleged recovery of an unlicensed pistol. The bail was approved against a surety bond of Rs100,000 and a personal bond. However, Qureshi remains in custody due to two other pending cases involving the recovery of drugs and weapons from Armaghan’s residence in DHA. The court noted that all witnesses in the illicit arms case are police officials, reducing the likelihood of evidence tampering, and emphasized that the prosecution has yet to prove the charges. Qureshi’s counsel argued that the recovery was fabricated and that his client was falsely implicated.
