The message, conveyed on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, emphasized that accepting the deal could prevent a potential Israeli military strike and further regional instability. Prince Khalid warned that the U.S. administration was seeking swift negotiations and that the opportunity for diplomacy might close rapidly.
During the meeting, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed Iran’s interest in reaching an agreement to alleviate economic sanctions. However, Iranian officials voiced concerns about the unpredictability of the Trump administration’s negotiation approach, particularly regarding uranium enrichment terms.
