Gaza’s Aid Distribution System Overwhelmed Amid Mounting Humanitarian Crisis

The humanitarian situation in Gaza has deteriorated sharply, with thousands of Palestinians crowding newly established aid distribution centers in desperate search of food. Following an 11-week Israeli blockade that severely restricted the entry of humanitarian supplies, the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has initiated aid distribution through four hubs—three in Rafah and one in Netzarim. However, the launch has been marred by chaos, with overwhelmed security personnel unable to manage the surging crowds.
