On the night of April 5-6, 2025, Pakistani security forces detected and engaged a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate from Afghanistan into the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan district. The ensuing firefight resulted in the deaths of eight terrorists and injuries to four others. The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reiterated Pakistan’s call for the interim Afghan government to prevent the use of its territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan. This incident follows a similar event in late March, where 16 terrorists were killed while attempting to cross the border into North Waziristan.
