At least 14 people were killed, and several others were wounded when a mini-truck fell into a canal due to dense fog in Sargodha late Friday night, Dunya News reported. According to details, the ill-fated mini-truck was carrying 23 people who were going to attend a funeral. It fell into the Ghullapur Canal as visibility was low due to heavy fog.
The rescue sources informed that the canal was dry and all the persons died after being trapped under the vehicle. Police and rescue teams have shifted the dead and injured to the hospital. According to rescue sources, the death toll may rise further as three injured persons were in critical condition.
