10 Terrorists Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations, Says ISPR

Jarida Report

On January 30 and 31, 2025, the Pakistan Army conducted multiple operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), resulting in the elimination of 10 terrorists. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that four terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan’s Khulachi area. Subsequently, six more terrorists were neutralized in separate encounters across North Waziristan’s Datta Khel, Hassan Khel, Ghulam Khan, and Mir Ali regions. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in various terrorist activities against security forces and civilians. Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists. The ISPR reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.

These operations are part of a broader effort to combat the resurgence of terrorist activities in KP and Balochistan, following the breakdown of a ceasefire agreement with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). In 2024, Pakistan experienced a significant increase in terrorist attacks, resulting in the highest number of fatalities among security forces in a decade. The military continues to conduct operations to address this escalating threat.
